At least 117,710 cases of new type of coronavirus have been reported in Spain since the epidemic began. This was announced by the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom on Friday, April 3.

In Italy, a total of 115,242 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected.

On April 1, the head of the Spanish Ministry of Health Salvador Ilya said that the spread of the epidemic in the country has entered a stage of stabilization. According to him, this was due to the epideomyological measures taken by the authorities.

On March 29, it became known that the Spanish authorities had decided to tighten quarantine measures in the country for the next two weeks. From March 30 to April 9, all citizens whose work is not vital will have to stay at home.

On March 19, dr. Andrey Rubtsov said that the high mortality rate from the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Spain is due to the fact that the country has a high life expectancy, and many of the patients are older people.

He stressed that the Spanish Ministry of Health does not provide complete data on morbidity and mortality. At the moment it is known that 33% of those infected are over 65 years of age, and 18% are over 75 years old.

The spread of THE SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes COVID-19 it began at the end of December last year. The Chinese city of Wuhan became the site of the infection. Within a few months, the disease had spread to more than 190 countries around the world. On 11 March, WHO declared a coronavirus pandemic.

According to Worldometer as of April 3, more than 1 million cases have been reported on the planet, more than 53,000 have died. 213,000 people were cured.
