TAMBOV, September 3. / TASS /. The authorities of the Tambov region increased the export of industrial products in the first half of 2020, its volume increased to $ 210 million, which is almost twice the volume of exports in the first half of last year. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Mikhail Ivanov told reporters on Thursday during his working visit to the Tambov region.

"Exports are growing in the first half of 2020, the Tambov region in six months reached a level of slightly more than $ 210 million, which is almost twice as much as in the same period last year," Ivanov said.

During his working trip, Ivanov visited two of the largest enterprises in the region, the Pigment and Komsomolets factories. He told reporters that, in particular, the Pigment PJSC paints and varnishes company exports about 25% of its products to Europe, North America, and Brazil.

Ivanov added that the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the Ministry of Economic Development allocated a subsidy of about 210 million rubles to the Komsomolets plant, which produces oil and gas equipment, to replenish working capital amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“The enterprise did not stop its production for a minute, moreover, it has plans to expand its production capacity and recruit personnel. We discussed the possibility of the Komsomolets plant participating in export support mechanisms related to compensation of logistics costs for delivering products to export markets. taking into account the fact that the plant's products are oversized, the support measure will help increase its competitiveness in foreign markets, "added the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
