People with COVID-19 face fever, weakness, cough, shortness of breath, headache and sore throat. These six main symptoms were named by the chief freelance pulmonologist of the Russian Ministry of Health Sergey Avdeev, RIA Novosti reports on Thursday, November 5.

According to him, in most cases (90 percent) in patients with coronavirus, the temperature rises to 37.5 degrees. Another 40 percent complain of increased fatigue, and the same number of coughs.

Less commonly, COVID-19 patients develop shortness of breath (30 percent) and headache (20 percent). The rarest manifestation of infection Avdeev called a sore throat - about 10 percent of patients with such a symptom face.

Earlier, Natalya Pshenichnaya, deputy director for clinical and analytical work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, said that ear congestion could be another symptom of coronavirus. At the same time, she noted that the same symptom can occur with ordinary ARVI. If the congestion does not go away for several days, and pain appears, you need to see a doctor, Pshenichnaya recalled.
