Georgia to impose a ban on movement at night due to coronavirus

In large cities of Georgia, from November 9, a ban on movement at night will be introduced - from 22:00 (21:00 Moscow time) to 05:00 (04:00 Moscow time) due to the worsening situation with the coronavirus. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maya Tskitishvili, stressing that this is not a curfew.

In large cities of Georgia, from November 9, a ban on movement at night will be introduced - from 22:00 (21:00 Moscow time) to 05:00 (04:00 Moscow time) due to the worsening situation with the coronavirus. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maya Tskitishvili, reports TASS.

She stressed that this is not a curfew. The restrictions will apply to Tbilisi, Batumi, Gori, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Poti and Rustavi. Moving will be prohibited both on foot and by transport.

In addition, at 22 o'clock, only medical, pharmaceutical and strategic enterprises, as well as those involved in international transport and journalists, will be able to continue working. For non-compliance with the requirements, a fine of 2 thousand lari (about $ 600) is provided.

Over the past 24 hours, 2,859 infected people have been recorded in Georgia. In total, 54,852 people have been infected in the country since the beginning of the pandemic.
