Three ministers resign

The head of state dismissed Vladimir Yakushev, head of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services. He was appointed Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Urals Federal District (UFO).

Yakushev headed the Ministry of Construction since May 2018. Previously, he was the governor of the Tyumen region for 13 years.

Also, the president signed a decree on the resignation of the head of the Ministry of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich. The media announced his departure on Friday 6 November. It was noted that he could lead the Belgorod region.

In addition, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Dmitry Kobylkin resigned. He took this post in 2018 under Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. After the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers in January, he retained his position and continued to work with the new Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

During an operational meeting with the Deputy Prime Ministers, Mishustin thanked them for their joint work and wished them success in their new duty station.

Putin has increased the number of deputy prime ministers

The President signed a decree introducing one more post of Deputy Prime Minister, thus increasing their number to ten.

Prime Minister Mishustin proposed to the State Duma deputies to make the head of the Ministry of Energy Alexander Novak the tenth deputy prime minister.

Mishustin offered the State Duma candidates for ministers

The Ministry of Energy may be headed by the head of RusHydro Nikolai Shulginov, the Minister of Transport proposed to appoint the head of Aeroflot Vitaly Savelyev, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources - Minister for the Arctic Alexander Kozlov, the head of the Ministry of Construction - First Deputy Minister Irek Fayzullin, the head of the Ministry of Eastern Development - the head of the Far East Development Fund Sergey Chekunov.

The new ministers will be approved on Tuesday, November 10, Nikolai Kharitonov, head of the regional committee of the State Duma, told RIA Novosti. Prior to this, Mishustin's candidacy will be discussed in the relevant State Duma committees.

The reshuffle was explained by the rotation of personnel

Resignations in the Cabinet of Ministers are not connected with poor execution of the President's instructions, said the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov. According to a Kremlin spokesman, the reshuffle in the Cabinet is a rotational process.

Peskov also answered the question of whether Alexander Novak will continue to oversee the topic of OPEC and OPEC + if approved by the Deputy Prime Minister. According to a Kremlin spokesman, this will be decided by the government, RIA Novosti reports.
