The Ministry of Health explains the cases of COVID-19 doctors after vaccination
Cases of coronavirus disease after vaccination are due to the fact that the vaccinated have not yet developed antibodies. This was announced by the Assistant Minister of Health of Russia Alexei Kuznetsov.
He noted that the Sputnik V vaccine is two-component: 21 days after the first injection, the second is given. The patient is considered protected three weeks after the introduction of the second component, the specialist emphasized.
"Cases of positive results of PCR testing in citizens who received the vaccine, as a rule, are due to the fact that by the time they met with the causative agent of COVID-19, they did not have time to form immunity, since not enough time has passed since the moment of vaccination," Kuznetsova quotes RIA News.
Earlier it was reported that three Altai physicians who received the Sputnik V vaccine fell ill with COVID-19.
Head of the Scientific Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg expressed confidence that the effectiveness of the Russian drug will be at a high level.
