Russian doctors called the criteria for the spread of coronavirus
The criteria for the activity of the spread of coronavirus are a person's immunity, the state of his upper respiratory tract and the time from the virus entering his body, said virologist Vitaly Zverev. According to him, if the immune system cope with the disease, after three to four days the test for COVID-19 will already be negative.
The criteria for the activity of the spread of coronavirus are human immunity and the state of his upper respiratory tract, as well as the time from the virus entering his body. In an interview with RBC, they were named by Vitaly Zverev, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Microbiology, Virology, Immunology at Sechenov University.
“There are people who don’t get sick at all, there are people who tolerate it easily, respectively, they secrete the virus in small quantities, their viral load is low,” he said, adding that after infection everything depends on the state of the human body. And if the immune system cope with the disease, then after three to four days the test for COVID-19 will already be negative.
According to the Russian physician, a person becomes contagious on the second day after infection. This was confirmed by Sergei Voznesensky, Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the RUDN University. He stressed that the isolation of the virus, according to various sources, is possible from 48 to 90 days. In this case, the phase of active isolation of the infection depends on the course of the disease: with an asymptomatic and severe form, it will differ.
Rane, Russian doctor and TV presenter Yevgeny Komarovsky said that the patient is most infectious in the first two days after infection, that is, at a time before he has had time to show symptoms of COVID-19.
